LUCRETIA M. GRITZMAKER, age 66, passed away at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit on January 2, 2017.  Lucretia was born in Cambridge, OH on November 30, 1950 to the late Luetta and Carl Gritzmaker, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters: Carletta Gritzmaker of Troy and Mary (Jeff) Schira of Arlington, TX.

Lucretia was a 1968 graduate of Troy High School.  She earned her Bachelors of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University and her Masters of Science in Education from Wright State University.  She taught school for thirty years for Troy City Schools before retiring.

Lucretia loved to do many crafts.  She enjoyed giving counted cross stitch Christmas ornaments to friends and family and decorating cakes for many years.  Lucretia was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Troy and had taught Sunday school for many years.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Donna Morton officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
