October 23, 1945 – January 8, 2026
Lucinda "Cindy" Amburn was born on October 23, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio and passed on to glory on January 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Esther Rawlins and her sister Rosalind Dancer.
Cindy had two children, daughter: Rosalyn Fremder (Steve); son: Eric Amburn; grandson: Conner Amburn (Amber) and a great grandson: Wyatt Amburn.
Cindy was married to James "Jim" Amburn for 55 years. Cindy was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many.
Cindy was passionate about traveling. She traveled to Africa, Hawaii, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada and Alaska and Europe many times. She was in all but 4 states in the US. She skied the mountains in the Rockies, Canada and Pennsylvania.
Cindy loved the water. She sailed and snorkeled the waters of Hawaii. She was a golfer, tennis and racquetball player.
She loved to teach children. Her friends loved her for the gifts of friendship she shared with each of them. But above all of this, she loved Jesus first and foremost.
During her 11 years battle with cancer. She was steadfast in her faith and trust in Jesus.
She passed into glory in the most gentle, peaceful way at home with her family present. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 17, 2026 at Living Word Church, Vandalia, OH with Pastor Pat Murray and Pastor Dave Ruud officiating. Interment to follow in Unity Cemetery, Laura, OH. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, January 17, 2026 at the church.
