LUCILLE ANN (GERTNER) SNYDER

LUCILLE ANN (GERTNER) SNYDER, age 91, formerly of Troy and Piqua, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Covington Care Center.  She was born in Piqua on August 9, 1923 to the late Albert and Mary (Geary) Gertner.  Lucille married Donald J. "Jack" Snyder.  He preceded her in death on December 27, 1989.

Lucille is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Garry Lambert of Piqua; one sister: Dorothy Cyphers of Piqua; three grandchildren: Brian (Denise), Jason (Mara) and Jacqueline (Jason); and eight great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers: James "Dick" Gertner and William Gertner; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law

Lucille was a graduate of Piqua Catholic High School in Piqua.  She was also a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua.  Lucille was formerly employed by Rayve's Pasta in Troy and was a former member of the Stouder Hospital Auxiliary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bolte as Celebrant.  Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
