Lowell N. Voris Lowell N. Voris, age 86, of Troy, Ohio, died at 10:55PM on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on May 9, 1924 in Versailles, Ohio to the late William Nelson and Hazel Jean Prince Voris. His wife of 64 years, Wanda Geraldine Penny Voris, survives. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Riley of Troy, Ohio; three sons and a daughter-in-law, William T. Voris of Piqua, Ohio; Christopher Voris of Troy, Ohio and Lanny E. and Shirley Voris of Winter Springs, Florida; brothers, Kenneth P. Voris of Piqua, Ohio and Larry Allen Voris of Costa Rica; nine grandchildren: Amy and Sam, Eric and Gail, Jaime and Krystyna, Genny, and Sarah and Scott; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by four brothers: Thomas L., Buford Wayne, Malcolm and William E. Voris; and one sister, Orpha Jean Voris. He was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1942 and a US Navy veteran having served in WWII. He loved to go fishing. He worked in security for many years at several different Troy area companies. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with VFW Memorial Honor Guard. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy at a later date.
