Lowell E. Trostel, age 89, of Troy, OH passed away on August 27, 2024 at Randall Residence in Tipp City. He was born on February 7, 1935, in Ragtown, OH to the late Robert J. and Leatha (Vannoy) Trostel.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 68 years: Betty L. Trostel; son; Michael Trostel of Hendersonville, NC; daughter: Debra (David) Dietrichson of Cincinnati; grandchildren: Michael and Laura Dietrichson; brother: Paul Nelson of Arizona and sister: Carol (Dick) Shaw of Springfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Kevin Trostel, brothers Robert Jr. and Donald I. Trostel and sister Roberta Jean Trostel.

Lowell was a backhoe operator with The Union of International Operating Engineers Local #18 and an auctioneer. He was a 1953 graduate of Tecumseh High School and a US Army Veteran. Lowell was a member of Cove Spring Church, Troy Senior Citizens, Troy Fish and Game and the Staunton Grange.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Greg Morrow officiating.  Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Wednesday September 4, 2024, at the funeral home.
