Louise R. Phelps Louise R. Phelps, 93, formerly of Troy, Ohio, residing at the Friendship Village, Trotwood, Ohio, died at 8:00AM Thursday, November 8, 2007, at the Friendship Village, Trotwood. She was born April 16, 1914, in Lexington, Ohio, to the late Rufus and Maud Corwin Ray. She was married to Barnes W. Phelps who preceded her in death on February 3, 1988. Mrs. Phelps is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: B. Ray and Carol Phelps of Troy, OH; daughters and son-in-law: Lois and Ralph Carder of The Villages, FL Marilyn Thompson of Franklin, TN; one sister, Rachel Kimbrel of Michigan; seven grandchildren: Lee Kathy Carder, Michael Angela Phelps, William Suzan Phelps, Virginia Kavalauskas, Paul Emily Thompson, John R. Thompson, and Jennifer Bob Mead; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, ten siblings and one great-grandchild, Anna. Mrs. Phelps was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy and the Troy Chapter #256 O.E.S. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, November 12, 2007, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. James C. Wilson II officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. Friends may call from 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home with Eastern Star Services at 5pm.
