Louise M. Hess Louise M. Hess, age 89, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 8:15AM on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Koester Pavilion, Troy. She was born on May 12, 1920 in Troy, to the late James Albert and Cora Irene Robinson Mikels. Her husband, John "George" Hess, preceded her in death on March 7, 1991. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Judy Hess and Randy and Jill Hess all of Troy; two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Bill Cline of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Deb and Phil Osting of Troy; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Hess was preceded in death by her sister, Emma Smith and five brothers: Ralph, James, John and George Mikels and Robert Bell. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1938. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy and active in many church groups. She was also a member of the Girls Civic League. Mrs. Hess was a homemaker. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Vandalia, Ohio. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
