Obituary

Louise Edith Clark, age 84, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her residence.  She was born on May 5, 1940, in Troy to the late James and Martha (Begitske) Eberhart.

Louise is survived by her children: Rebecca Yeaple of Troy, Monica Stevens Adams of Piqua and Tina (Mike) Douglas of Sidney; brothers: Chuck (Peg) Eberhart of Troy, Mike (Vicky) Eberhart of CO and Jerry (Shaune) Eberhart of TN; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Joseph William Clark; two daughters: Shirley Kessler and Anna Ferguson; two grandchildren: Brittany Yeaple and Philip Maxwell and sister: Margie Anderson.

Louise loved Jehovah God above all else. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Troy Congregation since 1975 and studied her bible faithfully. Isaiah 42:8. Her second love was her family. "Love you to the moon and beyond" she would say and text. She devoted her life as a stay-at-home mother and also assisted with the neighborhood children - Smocks, McDades. The neighborhood family continues to this day with special mention of the Swallow family and Cory Fuller who assisted her to remain home in her later years. Romans 15:2.

Louise returned to school after her husband passed away in 1991. She pursued a degree in accounting. During this time, she also learned ballroom dancing. She enjoyed "cutting a rug" and attending Piqua Dancing with the Stars every year. Although she explored the accounting avenue, she needed socialization so she chose to become a Walmart greeter. Greeting people as they came in, and left the store, she formed several bonds with the regulars. Louise would share her knowledge of God, animals, recipes, and her crochet patterns. She retired after 20 years and started new adventures.

Louise enjoyed traveling, often with her sister Margie. They attended hot air balloon festivals, out of state weddings, drive-in safaris but her favorite place to visit was Oregan. She would talk about The Rose Garden, Multnomah Falls, getting caught in the rain while at the tulip farms, and the beach. She even submitted a collage about this trip to the Miami County Fair.

Louise will be remembered most for her talent with the woven thread. From her colorful hats with butterfly pins to her gifts of blankets, scarves and endless scrubbies, she spent millions of hours twisting yarn. It started as a hobby when raising children, a way to release stress and anxiety. It ended as motor memory, crocheting while watching TV, talking to family, anytime she was seated.

Louise leaves you with John 13:34 "I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you love one another.
