Loretta V. (Guillozet) Grump, age 93, formerly of Troy, Ohio and more recently of Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on June 6, 2015 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
She was born on May 28, 1922 in Houston, Ohio to the late Jonas E. and Leora (Monnier) Guillozet.
Loretta is survived by her daughter: Karen M. O'Connor of Dayton, Ohio; son: Gary F. Grump of W. Palm Beach, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law: John R. and Amy (Alpine) Grump of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Kevin J. and Michelle (Montjoy) Grump of Oceanside, California; brother and sister-in-law: Raymond and Margaret Guillozet of Troy, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, one infant son: Johnnie; and daughter-in-law Laura (Soderstrom) Grump.
She retired from Hobart Brothers Company in Troy after 21 years of service. Loretta was a member and former volunteer of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. She enjoyed bowling, euchre club, caring for her garden and sharing a drink and good conversation with her two Amigos (Lucene Abshire and Regina Doll). Loretta met Raymond Cheney (THS wrestling coach) at the Troy Senior Center and they were companions until Ray's untimely death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Eugene Vonderhaar officiating. A lunch at St. Patrick will follow mass, with internment at St. Remy's Cemetery in Russia, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 11 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Patrick Church, Troy, Ohio.
