Lloyd Swigart, age 97, of Troy, OH passed away lovingly and peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.  He was born on December 25, 1919 in Miami County to the late Edward and Edith Pearl (Harris) Swigart.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years of marriage:  Esther Marceline (Tamplin) Swigart; daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra and Frank Corricello of CO; Nancy Swigart of Covington; Rebecca and Scott McConnell of Troy and Deborah and Robert Sturgeon of Troy; sons and daughters-in-law: David and Teresa Swigart of Troy and Charles and Becky Swigart of TX; grandchildren: Greg Corricello; Julie (Ed) DeCecco; Blaine (Amber) Collins; Tiffany (Joseph) Collin; Erica (Zach) Bowser; Stacy (James) Douglas; Jacki Kirtley; Andrew McConnell; Eric Swigart and Chelsea Swigart; fifteen great grandchildren and brother: Paul Edward Swigart of CA.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Donnie and his first wife: Martha Jean Earhart.

Lloyd was a very proud veteran having served in the US Navy during WWII.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fish and Game and the VFW Post #5436 all of Troy.  He retired as a maintenance foreman with AO Smith Company.  He enjoyed watching sports on TV and the company of his wife, children and grandchildren.

Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Chaplain Ricardo Lewis officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight Dayton, 200 Canary Court, Enon, OH 45323.
