Linda Lou Grenert Linda Lou Grenert passed away at Hospice of Dayton on August 6, 2007 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on Oct. 13th, 1943 to Louis and Norma Broskey in Uniontown, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Peter. She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Devon; daughter, Yvonne "Vonnie" Tracy Cooper of Troy; sons, Tim Lee Grenert of Fremont, OH and Capt. Eric Arlette Grenert USMC of Pacific Grove, CA; her brother, Ted Barb Broskey of Oceola, IN; sister-in-law Marlene Broskey of Keisterville, PA; two grandsons, Manuel Grenert of Pacific Grove, CA and TJ Grenert of Dover, NH; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family, her dear friends in the Shenandoah neighborhood and anyone who was privileged to know her radiant smile and infectious laugh. She was a registered dental hygienist for Drs. JD Sims, JL Sims and Leslie Culp in Troy and Dr. LL Drager in Dayton for many years. She also substituted for a number of other dental practices throughout the Miami Valley. She was an active member of TWIGS 4, the Laureate Gamma Omega Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Blue Star Mothers, and St. Patrick Catholic Church. In accordance with her request, her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University in hopes that future physicians and scientists could learn from her disease. Also, her wish was to have a memorial mass where her family and friends could come together to celebrate her life. This special mass will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, at 6:30PM on Friday, August 17, 2007, with the Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place immediately following mass. Her family and friends wish to thank the incredible and compassionate staff of Hospice of Dayton and Dr. Joseph Lavelle. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton or the TOT Fund for Children's Medical Center. Envelopes will be provided at the memorial mass. Friends may also express condolences to the family through www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
