Lillian Hardy Grimes, 89, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday May 31, 2004 at 1:16PM at her residence. She was born on October 17, 1914 in Jackson, Ohio to the late John W. and Hannah Webb Hardy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Grimes on June 6, 1990. She is survived by her two children; Charles Grimes of Denver, Colorado and daughter and son-in-law; Lois and Doug Meek of Troy, Ohio. Also she has a daughter-in-law, Diane Grimes Bogner of Troy, Ohio. She has several grandchildren; Todd Michele Oaks of Troy, OH; Jon Allison Grimes of Columbus, OH; Joel Joni Grimes of Nashville, TN; Jason Emily Grimes of Chicago, IL; and Scott Henry of Lebanon, PA; Melissa Robert Regnell of Newmanstown, PA; great grandchildren; Luke and Connor Oaks; Wade, Alex, Lucas Regnell; and Ava Grimes and Lauren Regnell. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and a nephew-like-son, Glenn Musgrave. Also her adopted family, Connie, Grace and Hayden Hsiung of Schenectady, NY and many other wonderful people who adopted her as their mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hannah Hardy; husband Carl Grimes; one son, Hilden Grimes; one sister, Mildred Musgrave and three brothers, Harold, Wesley and James Hardy. She was an active member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. The Revs. Ronald and Samuel Barber will be officiating the service and burial will be at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
