Lillian M. Davis, 84 of Troy, Ohio died September 18, 2003 at SpringMeade Health Center. Lillian was born in Irvine, Kentucky on September 16, 1919 to the late William and Kate Markland Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; James, Bill and Harvey Wilson and sister, Mary A. Dittbenner, and daughter-in-law, Janice Marshall Davis. Lillian is survived by her husband, Robert L. Davis, three sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Carol, Lonnie and Naomi of Troy and Carl and Joyce of Athens, Georgia; two brothers, Fred Wilson of Xenia and Duward Wilson of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Gary of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sharon Weyant of Troy, Brian of Athens, Georgia, Alan of Columbus; Craig of Kettering, Annaliese and Brooke of Clearwater, Florida and Eric of Troy; twelve great grandchildren, six boys and six girls. Lillian was a long-time resident of Xenia, Ohio, retired from the Xenia City School System and former member of Union United Methodist Church, Xenia. She and Robert moved to Troy, Ohio in 1980. Until her illness, she had been a very active member of First United Methodist Church, including the United Methodist Women and also Krazy Kwilters Klub of Troy. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Monday, September 22 at First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Franklin Street, Troy with the Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson III officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, Ohio. The family will receive friends at Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market Street, Troy, Sunday, September 21 from 2-5PM. If desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Miami County, Union First United Methodist Church of Xenia, or First United Methodist Church, Troy.
