IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonda "Lee"
Banios
March 2, 1953 – June 12, 2025
Leonda "Lee" Banios, age 72, of Troy, Ohio, peacefully left this world on June 12, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 2, 1953, in Evansville, Indiana, Lee was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. A gentle soul and devoted servant to God and her community, she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration.
Shortly after high school, Lee embraced her faith, becoming a born-again Christian, which ignited a lifelong journey of spiritual growth and service. Traveling through Europe as a military spouse, Lee developed a love for cultures and exploration, collecting stories and experiences that enriched her life eventually creating a vibrant community here in Ohio.
A fervent believer in faith and community, Lee was deeply involved in her church and Tuesday Prayer Group. Her compassionate nature extended to caring for elderly patients in hospice, where she provided comfort and dignity in their final days. Known for her servant's heart, she mended hearts and minds over spaghetti and chocolate milk, welcoming friends and strangers alike to her table for over five decades.
A talented gardener, Lee transformed landscapes and breathed new life into old furniture from yard sale finds, revealing the beauty in all things. Her joy was found in gardening, annual visits to Christian camps while savoring friendships shared in God's love and going on long drives while listening to praise music and a little bit of rock & roll.
Lee is survived by her devoted children, Matthew Seube, Jay Wilson, and Sara Burd; her beloved brother, Danny LaGrange; and a legacy of dearly loved grandchildren, family, and friends.
