Leon M. Blair, 68, of Casstown, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000 at 11:00 p.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.

He was born July 31, 1932 in Paintsville, KY.

Mr. Blair is survived by aunt, Bethel Bailey of Huber Heights and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by stepfather, Verlie Ratliff and mother, Alwilda Blair.

Mr. Blair was a member of Troy Freewill Baptist Church, VFW Post No. 5436, Troy, Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1044, Troy, U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War serving in Germany in the Honor Guard.  He retired from B.F. Goodrich, Troy.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Ernie Wright officiating.  Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown.  VFW Honor Guard will hold military honors at cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
