Leo P. Bowen Leo P. Bowen, age 67, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 3:00AM on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his residence. He was born September 10, 1940 in Pt. Pleasant, W. Virginia, to the late Coy Kenneth Bowen and Geraldine "Jeri" Pantz Bowen, who survives. In addition to his mother, Jeri, of Troy, Leo is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Lesia L. and Dave Schultz of Troy, Brenda L. and Bill Thornton of Russia, Ohio and Betsey L. and Tommy Henry of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth R. and Tana Bowen of Troy; two sisters: Mary Lou Kunkler of Canal Winchester and Shirley and Robert Bussart of Statesville, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren: Nathan and Erica Schatz of Troy, Justin and Jacob Favorite, Benjamin Huffman, Thomas and Lucas Henry, Jorden and Jared Bowen, Joshua and Matthew Thornton and Ashlee Schultz; and four great-grandchildren: Preston and Carter Schatz and Bailey and Cadence Favorite. He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Kenneth Bowen. Leo was a 1958 Graduate of Troy High School. He was a member of the Moose, Troy, Elks #833, Eagles #971, American Legion, Post 43 and the VFW, Post 5436. He was also a Soldier in the United States Army. He retired from BF Goodrich with over 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Douglas Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home.
