Lawrence "Larry" Pearson Lawrence "Larry" Pearson, age 90, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 7:04AM on Friday, October 7, 2011 in Troy. He was born on January 24, 1921 in Tipp City, Ohio to the late Ray and Sylvia Davidson Pearson. His wife of 65 years of marriage, Edna Mae Heffner Pearson, survives. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Thomas Lutz of Troy; daughter-in-law, Marcia Pearson of Troy; sister, Lucille Zimmerman of Anderson, Indiana; stepbrothers, Robert Loy of Arcanum, Ohio and Richard Peters of Vandalia, Ohio; three grandchildren, Carrie Kevin Glover, William Ashley Lutz and Ryan Lutz; and four great-grandchildren, Victoria and P.J. Glover and Jackson and Charlotte Lutz. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Gary Pearson; sister, Betty Robbins; brothers, Paul Pearson and Don Peters; and stepmother, Goldie Pearson. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II having served in New Caledonia and a member of the Troy First Church of God, American Legion and Troy Fish & Game. Larry worked for Fenton's Concrete Company and later retired from Brown Bridge Mills, Troy where he was a former member of the Quarter Century Club. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Mike Calhoun and Pastor Paul Pearson officiating. Private interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Monday at the funeral home.
