PIQUA - Lavern C. "Vern" Gaier, 63, of Piqua, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Gaier was born May 17, 1943 to the late Jacob and Leona Puttof Gaier. Mr. Gaier is survived by his son, Rob V. Gaier of Piqua, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Lorrie and Damon Bennett of Lancaster, Ohio; sister Georjean Coverstone of Sidney, Ohio; and grandchildren, Kari and Seth Gaier of Troy, Ohio and Sydney Bennett at home in Lancaster, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Gaier. Mr. Gaier was a graduate of Houston High School and served in the National Guard. Mr. Gaier worked for Troy Ford in the service department for over 30 years. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev.
