Laura Jean Welker, age 40 of Troy, Ohio died Monday, March 25, 2002 at the Harborside Healthcare Center. Born of Harold and Carol Zeigler Welker of Troy, she is survived also by her sister and brother-in-law, Lisa K. and Ian Coyle of Troy; brother, Paul R. Welker of Troy; nephew, Anthony Welker of Troy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sullivan, Indiana. A graduate of the Miami East High School and the Indiana University at Bloomington, IN, she was a former certified therapeutic recreational specialist with Stouder Hospital, Troy; worked with disabled adults and autistic children and had served in the US Army. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fletcher United Methodist Church building fund or donor's favorite charity.
