Laura S. Roop, age 88, of Tipp City, OH passed away on February 17, 2022 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  She was born on December 13, 1933 in Troy to the late Willard and Mary (Emerick) Swank.

Laura is survived by her husband of 20 years:  William M. Roop; her sons: Daniel Reynolds of Vandalia; Richard Reynolds of Huber Heights and Charles Reynolds of Vandalia; step daughters: Melinda (Timothy) Drake of Tipp City and Tamra (Robert) Grayson of Zanesville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and sister: Geneivra "Genie" Scott of Troy.  In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her first husband: William Reynolds and second husband: Albert Arnett; son: Nicholas Reynolds; sister: Gloria Carey; and brother: Willard Swank, Jr.

Laura was a 1951 graduate of Troy High School.  She served as a hostess at Neil's Heritage House for over 20 years and retired in 2000.  Laura volunteered at Troy Hayner Cultural Center for 12 years.  She enjoyed making blankets, making over 600, giving to the troops, friends and relatives.

She attended the First Baptist Church in Vandalia.  She was formerly active with the Dayton Philharmonic and the Senior Chorus at the Ohio State Fair.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
