Laura F. Lewis Laura F. Rogers Trostel Lewis, 80, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 1:29PM on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born May 1, 1927 in New Lebanon, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Mary Hamilton Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert Trostel Jr. in 1966, second husband, Walter Lewis in 1998, daughter, Janet Hobart, three sisters: Christine Bercot, Mary Wintrow and Henrietta Yantis; two brothers: Elwood and Delone Rogers; and one stepson, Ed Lewis. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald and Pat Trostel of Troy, OH and Gary and Rebecca Trostel of St. Paris, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law: Ruth and John Hines of Stevensville, Michigan, Karen and Keith Redding of McKinney, Texas and Jon Hobart of Casstown, Ohio; stepson, Neil Lewis of England; stepdaughter-in-law, Joan Lewis of Wheaton, Ill; sister and brother-in-law: Marcella and Don Brawner of Bellbrook, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis was a graduate of Miami Valley School of Nursing. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Troy, OH and the Royal Heirs at the church. She had been a resident of Troy since 1974 and was a member of the Miami County Homemakers. She retired in 1981 after more than 27 years at Stouder Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with burial to follow at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
