Larry E. Welker, age 60, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born of the late Burness V. and Goldie Hayes Welker. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. Linquist Welker, sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Kelly Welker and Ty and Amy Welker, mother-in-law, Betty Linquist, brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Carol Welker, Guy and Phyllis Welker, Richard and Judy Welker, sisters-in-law, Hilda and Stanley Lawrence, Chloda Francis, Linda and Frank Edmisten, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Tom Hynes, grandchildren, Jake and Jordan Welker and Jessie and Maggie Welker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim, and father-in-law, Darrel Linquist. He was a longtime member of Troy Moose Lodge. He was active in youth baseball as the boys were growing up. He loved fishing and the outdoors but his love of family meant everything to him. 1964 graduate of Troy High School. He was employed with Hobart Brothers Company for the past 42 years and active in the Project Outreach Program at Hobart's. Services 10:30am Wed., January 3, 2007, Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Russ Tichenor officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
