Larry R. ''Smitty'' Smith, 59, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on February 14, 1945 in Troy, Ohio to the late Frank and Leona Wilkins Smith. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary Burns Smith; four children; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Kim & Mike Behrens of Troy, OH; Missy & Mike Downing of Troy, OH; Cassandra & Jamie Crotinger of Troy, OH; and April Millet & Jason Deaton of Troy, OH. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Sherry Smith of Piqua, OH; and Mickey Linda Smith of Troy, OH; three brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law; James & Beverly Burns of Troy, OH; Mike & Marcia Burns of Piqua, OH; and Orest & Elizabeth Burns of Texas. One Sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Barb Roger Crabtree of Troy, OH. Mr. Smith has seven grandchildren, Tabbitha Shaeffer; Brandie Boos; Rachel Cummins; Vance Bowning; Hope McGlaughlin; Amber Millet and Kaylee Heiser. He also has one great-grandchild, Juliette Boos. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He attended Troy City Schools. He retired from Hobart Corporation with over 39 years of service. Visitation will be held at Baird Funeral Home, Troy on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8PM. Service will be held at Baird Funeral Home, Troy on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:30AM. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
