Lanny E. Kendell, age 82, of Christiansburg, OH passed away on October 7, 2024.  He was born on November 1, 1941 in Troy, OH to the late Raymond E. and Mary Louise (Ardinger) Kendell.

He is survived by his children: Anthony E. Kendell, Lori (David) Cross and Mary Renee Cox; grandchildren: Jordan Andrew (Ali) Kendell, Megan Richelle Kendell, Bethany Anne (Samuel) Cross Howard, Braden Kendell (Olivia) Cross, Benjamin Michael (Krista) Cross, Kendell Wayne Cox and Lannah Cameron Cox; great grandchildren: Payton, Rylee, Jackson, Kendelle, Mackenzie, Lincoln, Madelynn and Malachi; brothers: Kevin (Debbie) Kendell and Greg Kendell and sister: Vicki (Mike) Eberhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years: Sharon J. Kendell on October 14, 2007 and brother: Scott Kendell.

Lanny was a member of the last graduating class at Christiansburg-Jackson High School in 1960.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Urbana, Mt. Olivet #226 F&AM and Scottish Valley of Dayton.  In the 60's and 70's, Lanny served on Christiansburg Village Council and served as Mayor during their Bicentennial.  He was very active in the community and was instrumental in the rehabilitation of the community park for the benefit of area children and families. Lanny worked at Hobart Corp from September, 1964 until he retired in 2007.  He was a dedicated employee and served in many roles but enjoyed being the supervisor of the commercial line of building dishwashers.

In respect of his wishes, private services will take place with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
