L. Mae Sotzing, 93, of Troy, Ohio died on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on September 1, 1912 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Effie Landis Lambert. She married J. Leonard Sotzing, and he precedes her in death, March 15, 1987. She is survived by son & daughter-in-law; Richard & Nancy Sotzing of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two grandchildren, Susan Greg Rizzi of North Carolina and Molly Doug Overby of Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Ellen, Peter and Eric; nieces, Juanita Bissett; Joan Lambert and Karen Martino and one nephew, Charles Rasor. She is preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Walter Lambert and two sisters, Frances Rasor and Laura Earhart. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy and was a Charter member of Miami County Secretaries Club. She was a 1931 graduate of Van Cleve High School, Troy, Ohio. She was formerly employed at Lambert Motors as a Bookkeeper and Secretary, retiring in 1974 after 25 years of service. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:30Am at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Friends may call on the family, Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 4-6PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio.
