L. Pauline Owens Leas, age 89, of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 2, 1921 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Rosie Bradshaw Woolum. She was married to Frank Owens who preceded her in death on December 9, 1973 and her second husband, W. Howard Leas who died on August 2, 1996. Pauline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Paul Napier of Troy; seven grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchild. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, James Owens and two brothers and one sister. Pauline was a member of the Tipp Monroe Baptist Church and Vandalia Baptist Church; member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 256, Troy; Past Mother Advisor of the Order of the Rainbow Girls; Past Counselor in Kentucky and local Deputy of the Daughters of America. She was formerly an employee of Ontario's. Services will be held 6:30PM Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Paul Napier officiating. Interment to be held in Highland Park Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kentucky. Friends may call on the family from 5:00-6:30PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
