Kevin Lee Dangler, age 73, passed away at his home in Troy, Ohio on January 29, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1952 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Donnell "Skip" Dangler and Rose-Marie "Posie" (Adams) Simpson.

Kevin and his beloved wife, Sue (Roughton) Dangler, celebrated 50 years together this past summer surrounded by their wonderful family, including their two daughters, Olivia Dangler currently of St. Louis, MO, and Alexis, son-in-law Brian, and two grandsons Hudson and Carson Dedrick of Troy.

Kevin is survived by his loving family, sister Heidi Kirk of Pineville, NC; sister- and brother-in-law Jan (Roughton) and Greg Stoller; sister-in-law Karen Dangler; and his nieces, nephews and their families.  In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by two brothers: Dennis Dangler and Scott Dangler, his nephew Bradley Dangler, and his niece Dr. Kimberly Dangler.

Kevin was a lifelong educator. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and Master's degree in Educational Administration from Bowling Green State University.  Throughout his career, Kevin was a teacher, a principal, and a superintendent who cared deeply about public education and the students and staff under his care. Kevin was an athlete and coach throughout his life and an avid golfer. The relationships he built with colleagues, players, and teammates meant the world to him and he treasured the lifelong friendships made along the way. He could often be found cheering on his grandsons, nieces, and nephews in their athletic and artistic activities.

Kevin attended and enjoyed serving alongside his family at The Valley Church of Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made "In memory of Kevin Dangler" and sent to The Valley Church, 916 North Market Street, Troy, OH 45373.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
