Kenneth R. "Butch" Rupert, age 72, of Troy, OH died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the James Cancer Hospital, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH following a brief illness. He was born December 25, 1935 in Troy, OH to the late Clarence Rupert and Mary Karmen Rupert. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Mary Ann Holland Rupert; Sons, Tom, Tim, & Terry Rupert all of Troy, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry L. Sandra Rupert of Troy, OH, and sister, E. JoAnn Watterson of Richwood, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Warren Rupert in 1998; brother, Robert Rupert, sister, Alice Purk, and son, Tracy Allen Rupert on July 6, 2008. He was an active member of the YMCA, Troy, OH and former member of the Troy Moose Lodge. He loved to race stock cars. He retired from Dinner Bell after 35 years and ITW after 12 years of service. Funeral service will be held 10:30AM Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Pastor Michael Calhoun officiating. Interment will be held in Forest Hills Memorial Garden, Tipp City, OH. Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH from 5-8PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Cancer Hospital, Columbus in Kenneth's memory.
