Kenneth "Ken" Roeth, 61 of Troy, Ohio died suddenly Friday May 5, 2006 from cardiac arrest at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born July 1, 1944 in Troy, Ohio to the late Herbert E. and Gladys R. Phillips Roeth. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Melvyn and Marilyn Roeth of Piqua; Nephews Mike and Letty Roeth of Ft. Wayne, IN and Mark and Paula Roeth of Troy; Nieces Marsha and Ken DeWeese of Piqua; great nieces and nephews Ryan, Colin, Logan, Kyle, Lindsey, Ty, Justin, Christian and Cameron. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Troy; Participant in the Miami Co. Special Olympics; Avid Bowler, volleyball and softball player; Member of the ARC; Member of the Staunton Grange where he served as an officer and the Pomona Grange. He was a past member of 4-H. He worked at RT Industries in Troy. Funeral Services will be Tuesday May 9, 2006 @ 10:00AM at the First Lutheran Church in Troy with the Rev. Ric Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Casstown Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Monday May 8, 2006 from 3-7PM at the funeral home. Grange services will follow the visitation at 7:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics in c/o Riverside of Miami Co., 1625 Troy-Sidney Rd., Troy, Ohio 45373. He will be sadly missed by his mentor Diane Bodenmiller, staff and friends at RT Industries; housemates Jack, Larry, Frank and group home caregivers. Ken will also be missed by many for his gifts of humor, love and compassion.
