Kathleen Taylor, age 80, of Troy, OH passed away at her home on May 16, 2024.  She was born in Craynor, KY on April 5, 1944 to the late Chester E. and Stella (Howell) Newsome.

She is survived by her daughter: Emily (Chris) Linville and son: Terry R. Taylor both of Troy; grandsons: James E. (fiance', Lacretia) Linville and Christopher R. Linville both of Troy; sisters: Holly (Jim) Beard of South Charleston, Mary Alice (Gary) Crase of Berlin Heights and Marcella (Randy) Bailey of Harold, KY; brothers: Earl Dean (Rita) Newsome of Pikeville, KY, Daniel (Kathy) Newsome of Langsville and L. Michael Newsome of Printer, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Ruby Jean Hamilton and Brenda Sue Newsome and brothers: Joseph, Jonah and Tanzel Dee Newsome.

She formerly worked as a STNA nursing aid and waitress.  She loved sewing and gardening and had quite a green thumb.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church in Teaberry, KY.
