Kathleen D. MacMillan Kathleen D. MacMillan, age 63, of Troy, Ohio died Saturday August 27, 2011 at 5:36PM in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born on February 17, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Geraldine Albright Renz. Kathy was the beloved mother of seven children and twelve grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 35 years of marriage, Charles A. MacMillan; mother, Geraldine Renz of Chicago, Illinois; children and their spouses: Joy and Jim Brill of Milton, Georgia, Jennifer MacMillan of Brooklyn, New York, Christopher and Lisa Kelley of Suwanee, Georgia, Laura and Robert Doyle of Starksboro, Vermont, Michael and JoAnn MacMillan of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Carolyn and Dave Elliot of Bethel, Ohio and Mary MacMillan of Baltimore, Maryland; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Poruznik of Chicago, Illinois; and grandchildren: Andrew and Celia Hartnett and Alexander Brill of Milton, Georgia, Jackson and Olivia Kelley of Suwanee, Georgia, Charlotte and Jason Doyle both of Starksboro, Vermont, Alicia and Alec MacMillan, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Isabelle, Ava and Aubrey Elliott all of Bethel, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Kelley, her father, George Renz and son-in-law, Raymond Hartnett. Kathy attended the University of Illinois. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, and she enjoyed volunteering at St. Patrick's Soup Kitchen, as well as The National Right to Life Association. She was an avid gardener, an exceptional cook, and her greatest pleasures were her family and grandchildren. She was greatly loved by everyone. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Tuesday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be at a later date in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
