KATHERINE D. ADAMS, age 71, of Arcanum, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital.  She was born in Berea, KY on March 8, 1948 to Maynard Powell and Effie "Jerelene" (Allen) Powell.

Katherine is survived by her three daughters and one son: Carla (Steve Persinger) Adams of Arcanum; Rita (David) Meyer of Piqua; Chip (Lisa Glascoe) Adams of Dayton, and Nicole (Rob DeMoss) Smith of Casstown; brothers: Dennis (Janet) Powell of New Whiteland, IN and Virgil Powell of Troy; sister: Patricia (Steve) Emmel of Haines City, FL; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Maurice Powell and two infant sisters.

Katherine attended Troy High School. She enjoyed her Facebook friends and fishing.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM,  Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Baird Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Scott (nephew) officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
