Karl A. "Andy" Thompson, 45, of Troy, Ohio died on Saturday, June 18, 2005 in his residence after a sudden illness. He was born August 3, 1959 in Palo Alto, California to the late Edwin Karl and Edith Keeley Thompson. He married Penny Austin, and she survives, wife of 17 years. Also surviving are 2 sons, Christopher and Craig and 2 daughters, Courtney and Amber Thompson, all at home. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ted and Tim Thompson of Indiana; 6 brother-in-laws; John Also; Paul Aldo; Jamie Aldo, all of Bellefontaine; Mark Aldo of Columbus; Steve Aldo of Virginia and Donovan Austin of W. Mansfield; 2 sister-in-laws; Debbie Wren and Becky Morrison both of Bellefontaine. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. He was a member of the Troy First Church of the Nazarene; US Army veteran and National Guard. He was a substitute teacher for schools in Miami County, Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 from 9:00-11:00AM at the Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market Street, Troy, OH 45373. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 @ 11:00AM at the Baird Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Barber officiating. Burial will take place in the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Children's Educational Fund, C/O US Bank.
