Karen Kay Long, 62, of Conover, Ohio died Saturday October 2, 2010 at her residence following a three month illness. She was born September 8, 1948 in Troy, Ohio. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Eugene Long; daughter and son-in-law: Beth and Jamie Casper of Wilmington, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Mandy Long of Somerville, Ohio; Grandchildren: Kendall and Morgan Casper and Ainsley Long; mother Doris Sotherland Knoop; sister Sharon Clawson of Tipp City; and many loving nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father John Richard "Dick" Knoop.. She was a 1966 graduate of Miami East High School and was a member of Casstown United Methodist Church. She had worked as an account receivable clerk for Hobart Corp./ITW. Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 6, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. David Ramming officiating. Interment will follow at Casstown Cemetery in Casstown. Friends may call on the family Tuesday October 5, 2010 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
