Karen Diane Besecker, age 85, of Troy, OH passed away on August 27, 2025 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born on August 11, 1940 in Piqua, OH to the late Emerson and Geraldine (Doty) Loxley.

Karen is survived by her husband of 62 years: Arthur R. Besecker of Troy, OH; her children: Kim (Alan) Davis of Hilliard, OH and Kelley Phares of Springfield, OH; grandchildren: Jordyn (Dominic) Del Monte and Mackenzie (Josh) Wolfe; great grandchildren: Xavier Del Monte and her sister: Patra (Perry) Sengsy.

Karen was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren. She retired as a Librarian at Concord Elementary School after 33 years.  Karen was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and a collector of bells and butterflies.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jon Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
