K. Charlene Hecker , 74, of Troy, died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Troy, OH to Willard and Marjorie Upp Strome, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Candy and Mike Young of Troy; son and daughter-in-law; Rick and Myndie Kronenberg of Tipp City, stepchildren; Devonne Cheryl Doug Pittman of Somerset, Ky and Jack E. Hecker Jr. of Dayton, OH, sister; Peg Hennessey of Troy, OH; brother and sister-in-law; Bruce and Joyce Strome of South Carolina.; grandchildren; Kim and Tom Campbell of San Antonio, TX; Rob and Carmajo Burghardt of Hemet, CA; Derek and Julie Burghardt of Troy, OH; Dustin and Amy Young of Trenton, OH; great grandchildren; Tyler, Trey, Emmalyn, D.J., Drew, Isabella, Anna, and Colin Also survived by several stepgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jack E. Hecker on February 14, 2004. Charlene was a 1949 Graduate of Troy High School and a member of the Forty-Niners Club. Charlene was formerly employed with Pangles Grocery, Troy; Her greatest interest was being a grandma. Friends may call at Baird Funeral Home Troy, OH between 5-8PM Wednesday, August 17 and 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday August 18, 2005. A Graveside service is to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
