JUNIOR YOUNG, age 78, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on July 5, 1940 in New Boston, OH to the late Farret E. and Vera Ida (Lewis) Young, Sr.

Junior is survived by four daughters: Vicky Lynn (Doug) Boehringer of Covington, Bonnie Sue (Bob) Shaffer of Indian Lake, Sandra Gaile (Mo) Overla of Laura and Kathy Ann (Chuck Ward) Miller of Troy; two sisters: Joyce Ann Smyth of Marquette, MI and Nola Mae Larion of South Haven, MI; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Sue Young; and one sister: Bonnie Lou Young; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Junior attended Troy Freewill Baptist Church.  He worked for Dinner Bell in Troy for 21 years.  Junior later worked for Friendship Village in Trotwood.  He was a lifetime member of Troy Fish and Game.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, OH with Pastor Dwight Stump officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
