June Z. Keim, age 100, of Brookdale, formerly of Casstown, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.  She was born June 25, 1918 in Miami County to the late John Henry and Ethel (Hildebrand) Aughbaugh.  She married Raymond Andrew Keim on May 14, 1949 and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by four sisters: Lorene, Margaret, Ruth and Jean; and two brothers: Olan and Donald.

June is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Mark (Connie) Keim of Casstown; daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy (Wes) Whidden of Troy and Carol (Larry) Walker of Piqua; brother-in-law: Raymond Moyer; seven grandchildren: Zachary, Annie, Jeffrey, Erica, David, Jill and Amanda; and four great grandchildren: Alaina, Rowan, Callum and Adalyn.

June was the 1936 Valedictorian at Lost Creek High School, a member of the First Lutheran Church in Troy and a previous member of Casstown Lutheran Church. Before raising her family, she worked at Hobart Corporation. She enjoyed life, bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds and attending many Miami East sports activities.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the First Lutheran Church of Troy with the Rev. Heidi Holst officiating. Burial will follow at Casstown Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
