Obituary

June Esther Deeter June Esther Deeter, formerly of Troy, Ohio, more recently of Sidney, Ohio, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, Ohio. She was born in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to the late Jesse W. and Nelle Hill Ditmer. Her husband, Byron E. Deeter, preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Landis and Loretta Oden; one brother, Robert Ditmer and foster brother, Edward Stout. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Robert B. Deeter of Hermiston, Oregon and Richard L. and Wendy Deeter of Lake Forest, Illinois; and three grandchildren: Tucker, Christine and Casey Deeter. Mrs. Deeter was a graduate of Newton High School, Pleasant Hill, Ohio and Ashland College, Ashland, Ohio. She was a former teacher with Troy Schools and former Executive Secretary of the Eric County Mental Health Association. Mrs. Deeter was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Troy, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Troy Chapter and an honorary member of the Sandusky, Ohio Library Board. She was an elder, deacon and trustee for the Presbyterian Church and she was a member of the Endowment Committee and the Women's Association. Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 29, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, Troy. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Baird Funeral Home, Troy is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 20 South Walnut Street, Troy, Ohio 45373.
