Julius W. Oblinger, 90, of Ft. Myers, Florida and formerly of Troy, Ohio died on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Health Park Nursing Home, Ft. Myers, FL. He was born on June 2, 1916 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Julius P. and Martina McBride Oblinger. He married Betty Jane Marshall, and she precedes him in death in 1998. He is survived by a son, Stephen Oblinger of Ft. Myers, FL. He is preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Adams; brother, Herbert Oblinger; half sister, Grace Lehman; and half brother, Edmund Oblinger. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II; served as Elder and had been active in the Presbyterian Church; member of Franklin Lodge F & A.M. #14; Franklin Chapter #24 and Franklin Council #14. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He was a copywriter for E.F. MacDonald. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006 at 11:00am in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Contributions may be made in his honor to donor's favorite charity.
