Julia Elizabeth Chavis, age 79, of Troy, Ohio passed away on June 12, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1946 in Troy, Ohio to the late Dorsey Martin and Harriet Rebecca (Hill) Chavis.

She is survived by her brothers: Marvin Chavis of Texas and Craig Chavis of Westerville, Ohio; nephews and nieces: Donald, William, Tia, Shelly, Celeste and Craig Jr., and two great nephews and two great nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Alfred Chavis and Dorsey Martin Chavis Jr.

Julia was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School and a graduate of Edison State Community College. She was formerly employed with Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Hobart Corporation and American Honda Motor Company of Troy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM, July 31, 2025 at Apostolic Church of Christ, 1624 N. County Rd. 25A, Troy, OH.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
