Judy Ann Mers, 62, of Troy, Ohio, died on Monday December 1, 2003 after five months complications battling cancer. Mrs. Mers is survived by her mother, Esther M. Brown Tester and her husband of 44 years, David Mers; son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Toni Mers of Troy, Ohio, Craig and Teresa Mers of Troy, Ohio; Son, Mark Mers; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Teri Applegate of Amelia, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Linda Mers of Troy, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Aarin Burke, Clinton Mers, Alex and Anderew Applegate, Jason, Libby and Terry Thompson and Ben and Tabby Greek. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Tester and son, Scott Patrick Mers. Mrs. Mers was a 1959 graduate of Troy High School and attended Columbus Art School. Mother was her preferred title, but she also assisted her husband at Troy Radiator for the last 26 years. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Wednesday, December 3 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with a funeral service at 10:30AM Thursday, December 4, 2003 at the Funeral Home; Rev. Robert Linkous will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
