Josephine Carol Scott, age 87 of Troy, Ohio passed away on June 3, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH.  She was born on March 19, 1938 in Erie, PA to the late Frank and  Eugenia (Modzelewski) Przybyszewski.

Carol is survived by her children: Karen Scott, John J. (Patty) Scott III, Michael J. (Kim) Scott; grandchildren: Tony, Aaron, Joshua, Brandon, Elizabeth, Michael and Catherine; great grandchildren: Landon, Addy, Owen, Lainey, Joelle, Christopher, Sarah, Maddison and Brecklyn.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of 58 years: John J. Scott, Jr..

Carol was a graduate of St. Benedict High School in Erie, PA.  She was an Air Force Veteran and worked for the Chaplin's office and traveled extensively as an Air Force wife raising, loving, growing her family.  She worked at Wright-Patterson as an Administrative Assistant.  She volunteered for Tipp City and Troy Libraries, Miami County Hospice, Alzheimer's Association and many church committees.  Carol enjoyed spending valuable time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, bus trips with friends, gardening and making people laugh with her wicked sense of humor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Tipp City.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
