Joseph S. McCarthy is survived by  his wife, Barbara E. Hansford McCarthy; son and daughter-in-law, James S. McCarthy and Sarah Wetzel; daughter, Kathie McCarthy; two sisters, Mary Burger and Patricia Wolf and one granddaughter, Elizabeth McCarthy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John McCarthy and Marie Urquhart McCarthy.

Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
