JOSEPH JAMES "JIM" PARROCK, SR., age 86, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Dayton Veterans Medical Center as a result of Viral Pneumonia.  He was born on January 24, 1932 in Covington, KY to the late Albert Thomas and Lillie Mae (Frakes) Parrock, Sr.

Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (Isaacs) Parrock of Troy; one son: Joseph (Michele) Parrock, Jr. of Costa Rica; one daughter: Sherry (David) Keith of Troy; one brother: Albert (Patricia) Parrock, Jr. of Florence, KY; seven grandchildren: Abigail, Adam, Andrew, Sarah, Tracey, Benjamin and Amanda; and six great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Alberta LaBoca.

Jim was a member of Troy Baptist Temple.  He retired from Mosler Lock Inc. as Engineering Manager after 35 years.  Jim proudly served his country for four years as a member of the US Navy during the Korean War.

Funeral service will be held at the Troy Baptist Temple, 691 E. Staunton Road, Troy, OH at 10:00AM on Monday, April 16, 2018 with Rev. David Thomasson officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY at 3:00PM with military honors.  Friends may call from 2:00PM to 5:00PM on Sunday at Troy Baptist Temple Friendship Hall.
