Joseph "Joe" S. Hoosech,87, passed away quietly in his home in Troy on Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was born in Lorain, OH on December 17, 1937 to the late Louis and Charlotte (Karhuse) Hoosech.
Joe was a proud Marine for 2 years. He retired from BF Goodrich, Avon Lake, OH in 1992, he and his wife Gerry moved to Las Vegas, NV and later to Pahrump, NV. In 2009, they moved to Troy.
Joe was an avid traveler - from motorcycle trips, whitewater rafting, camping, panning for gold, cross-country excursions by car, as well as trips to Hawaii and Puerto Vallarta.
Joe will always be remembered by his family as the instigator of much laughter, a primo cook, the guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone, and the rock of the family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Geraldine "Gerry" P. Hoosech; three children: Belinda Hoosech and Adrianne Lange both of Piqua, OH and Joe Hoosech of O'Fallon, MO, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Louie.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Day City Hospice.
