John H. Zonner, Jr., age 40, of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1969 in Springfield, Ohio. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Sylvia Damron Smallenbarger of Springfield; his wife of 14 years, Lynda Rene Richmond Zonner; three children, Austin, Jacob, and Emma; sister and brother-in-law, Shawna and Larry McCoy of Springfield; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Eric and Dana Smallenbarger of Cincinnati; grandfather, Y.B. Damron of Kenova, WVA; numerous nieces and nephews; and aunt and uncle , Joan and Raymond Miracle of Springfield. John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Damron and father, John H. Zonner, Sr. John was a 1987 graduate of North High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War. He was an avid sports fan. John worked for Transportation Security Administration TSA at the Dayton International Airport. Funeral service will be held 10:00AM Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Troy with Veterans Honor Guard services. Family will receive friends from 5-8PM Thursday at the funeral home.
