John A. Waddell John A. Waddell, age 62, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on June 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born on November 12, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Wilburn and Nina Hoover Waddell. His wife of 22 years, Marla J. Vogann Waddell, preceded him in death on May 19, 2007. He is survived by his son, Doug Waddell; daughter, Kim Fultz; stepdaughter, Malena Belcher-Hinten; two sisters, Barb Cruze of and Susan Waddell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Pratt and Jean Mills. He was a member of Eagles, AmVets, VFW and Redmens Lodge, Troy and the American Legion, Tipp City, Ohio. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. John was also a very talented and well known musician and played banjo and guitar. Fraternal services will begin at 6:00PM on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Friends may call from 4-6PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made in John's memory in care of the funeral home.
