John passed away on January 4, 2025, in Troy, Ohio. John was the son of Dr. Ralph M Steffy and Betty Jean Steffy, who pre-deceased him. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Glen) Eppleston, and brother James M Steffy (Marty), and daughters Andrea (Jon) Cooper and Marissa (Omar) Steffy-Hemmings, and grandchildren Sarah Reynolds, Eric Reynolds, Brendan Hemmings and Adriana Hemmings.

John loved raising hydroponic strawberries and vegetables and he worked in medical sales of ultrasound Equine equipment over a large territory prior to that. He enjoyed reading, agriculture, watching football, was fascinated by the field of metal tool and die and large equipment used in construction. He enjoyed 3d computer gaming and the art of target shooting.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
