John Alexander Steel, age 76, of Troy, OH passed away on February 28, 2025 at Versailles Health Care. He was born on August 30, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Alexander John and Rita (Hack) Steel.

John is survived by his wife: Nancy Jean (Kaesemeyer) Steel of Troy; Suzette (Richard) Ruth of Annapolis, MD, Aaron (May Jane) Steel of Chicago, IL, Michael (Julie) Steel of Cleveland, OH, and John Matthew (Sarah) Steel of Troy; brothers: Robert (Beverly) Steel of Mason and Thomas (Elizabeth) Steel of Cincinnati; sisters: Sharon (Bruce) Halliman of Mason and Julie (Joseph) Spitzig of Cincinnati; and grandchildren: Tyler Kirker, Alexis Boback, Elaine Steel, John Alexander Steel, Henry Steel, Ayla Steel, and Conrad Steel. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother: Scott Steel.

John was a 1966 graduate of St. Xavier High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. John retired from Aqua Phoenix as a salesman. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a Life Scout. John was a diehard fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and U.C. Bearcats football.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, March 14, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Fr. Callan as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati.
